Old people. Playing around with a loosen line.

So I've been drawing this character for a while now and have named him Fez Dawg. I really like him and have a blast drawing him. My only issue is the coloring. I'm not too sure how to color him and they're different every time I take a stab at it. The green vest is new, however I'm not a fan. I think it could work if he were a bit lighter and more on the yellow side. The nose always goes back and forth between a purple-blue to a slate, cool, grey-blue. That I do like.

For now he is what he is until I finalize his coloring. Open for suggestions, so feel free to comment!

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this guy. I think the gesture could be pushed a bit further creating a stronger "C" curve. I'm also not too fond of the coloring either. Maybe I'll revisit him at some point. Either that or I'm just being far too critical (which is 9/10 the case). Either way he still could be improved.

But can't everything though? Can't everything...

Hello all!

Been a while. in any event, i got a new computer. a cintiq companion to be exact. here's the first cartoon i drew on it. more to come in the future, plus i'll be finishing up my thesis film on it. it shouel be out and ready by the end of the winter. about halfway through with the animation right now.

i'll keep you guys and gals updated as i make more progress. also the shift key sucks on this computer in case you're wondering why i've switched to lower cases.

i hate mondays, right?

Had a little fun messing around in Flash and Photoshop. For some reason when uploading an image to Blogger, the color uploads much darker than the original. In any event, I've got penguins on the mind! Been working on my thesis film BOX (due out this November) and took a break to make this doodle.

Holy cow guys...it has been a while indeed...

I haven't forgotten about all you guys and gals who stop by and check out my blog. Truth be told is that I've been using Instagram a lot with my cartoon uploads. I've been linking them to my tumblr account, since that's an option in instagram, and have kinda put my blog on the back burner.

Needless to say I am sorry for those of you who have been checking in and wondered where the heck I've been. I fell victim to the convenient nature of that app.

In other news, my thesis film is starting to get off the ground and will have a new cut of my animatic this upcoming weekend. Pretty excited about that!! I'll keep you all posted as I continue to work on it.

I've always loved when cartoon characters did this. I remember drawing eyes popping out on my characters all the time as I kid. Decided to revisit it. Glad I did, super fun to draw!

Still have no idea what's going on with the images on my blog. Got them to appear one day and now they're gone. Its driving me crazy to be honest. In the meantime, here's something new. Hope you can see it....

Been a while.

So as you can see, all of my images are gone.

I think I might've done this. By mistake. Basically I'm an IDIOT when it comes to modern technology and computer stuff. I think I had all of my images saved somehow through google+ and I deactivated that account which has gotten rid of all of my work. Which sucks cuz now you guys and gals, and new comers for that matter, can't see shit.

Needless to say I'm very upset and will figure this out ASAP.

In the meantime, I have started an INSTAGRAM account. (I'm aware that I am late to the game)

I wanted to say hi and let you all know where I've been for the past few weeks, seeing as I haven't updated in quite some time...

Currently I am writing my thesis paper. I know I have made such accusations before in the past, however this time I'm actually WRITING it and have been pre-occupied to say the least. With that said, and once the rough draft is completed, I shall be doodling and posting once again!

I appreciate you checking, visiting, and staying interested. Its because of you that I keep this thing going and why I wanted to keep you all in the loop! Your support is everything to me.

Tried a completely different technique on this guy. I drew him out real quick and colored roughly behind the outline. I then deleted it and fixed a few messy areas. Something different and fun!

So this was a headline in the Savannah Morning News paper. Since St. Patrick's Day is approaching fast, I'm assuming the article is discussing the amount of port-o-potties that will get shipped to town to accommodate all the visiting tourists.

For obvious reasons, I found this headline to be hilarious and couldn't help but picture a small boy wearing a paper boy cap, selling papers on the street corner yelling, "Extra! Extra! Read all about it!....."

I just wanted to let you all know that because of YOU, I have had 9,238 page views thus far on this little blog of mine! I honestly never imagined that I would have that many page views, let alone avid followers checking in to see what kind of crazy cartoon madness I concoct.I just want to sincerely thank all of you, (I'm talking to you Rachel T), for following, watching, recommending, and supporting me and my work. It sounds so cliche, but I never would've gotten this far without you all. I seriously mean that.
