Hey guys and gals!

Haven't been here in a while. I was finishing up my thesis and busy getting it submitted. Needless to say all that graduate work is finally done and my thesis has been approved! Been a long time coming for sure. Now I get to go back into my film and re-work a few things so I can then submit it to animation festivals. So like my first film First Bite, I won't be able to post it online anytime soon. If you haven't seen my first short about puppies and vampires, go to my website and look under "animations"

This concept popped into my head the other day. 

This pretty much sums up my life as an artist. Don't get me wrong,  I love it and wouldn't change a thing. However it's extremely difficult some days and I have to try hard to keep the negative thoughts and self doubts away.

Let me start off by saying that I am well aware that this is NOT tumblr.

I started a tumblr account with the shared artist mentality of getting your work out there using as many social platforms as possible. I know that in the art world, and in this modern, internet-driven world in general, that one is never enough when it comes down to displaying your artwork online. Hence the tumblr.

I had originally started which just a blogspot account about five years ago, not thinking or knowing what I was in for, if I ever was going to keep up with it, or if anybody would even find it worth visiting on a more than once basis. 

To my surprise and delight, people followed, stopped by, and even recommended this here blog to friends and fellow artists alike.

I honestly wish that as you read this, you could feel my genuine gratitude and appreciation for you loyalty, support, and love. It's because of you guys and gals, and my passion for cartoons and drawing, that I keep at this. I love blogger, its design, and community and will continue to use it.

So thank you. Thanks for continuing to check in, support, and comment. Blogger is where I first jumped off and its proven more successful than tumblr or any other avenue I have walked down.

 A drawing submission for a local gallery art exhibition this month. The theme is "flight."

Fez Dawg tweak

Been sitting on this drawing for a while now. To be perfectly honest, I had no idea how I wanted to color him for a long time. I decided to switch it up from the standard shirt and blue jeans and color him in a completely different way. I do like the neon, graffiti-like colors though. I may mess around later with different colors but for now, feel free to change your current desktop background with this! 

I drew this guy last year and decided to color him today. Not too sure why it took so long to finish. I think at the time I wasn't too sure how to color him. I'm still not sure if I'm happy with my decisions. All I know is that Blogger, whenever I upload an image, tends to darker the colors, so it looks off a bit. You'll have to check out my website to see a little lighter version.
